Interesting tidbit…For those of you with Amtrak in your backyard…

The Industry Performance Indicators, IPI, for September 2007, domestic air RPMs increased 1.6 percent and international air RPMs rose 7.4 percent compared to September 2006. Hotel/motel room demand rose 1.0 percent and room revenue increased 6.5 percent from twelve months earlier. Airline employment was up 1.4 percent and lodging employment increased 1.0 percent from September 2006. Amtrak ridership increased 8.4 percent from the same month of 2006.
